Appenzeller Culinary Delights

Authentic, honest and with a touch of finesse – that’s how we present our dishes. Our chefs Stefan and Michael place particular emphasis on high-quality products from the region and transform them into delicious creations with great attention to detail.

Our menu changes several times a year, bringing the flavors of each season to your plate. In addition to timeless classics like tender beef fillet and entrecôte from Appenzeller young cattle, we continuously surprise you with seasonal specialties: traditional Gitzi (young goat) in spring, fresh trout in summer, or hearty game dishes in the golden autumn. This keeps our offerings fresh, creative, and diverse.

Check-in: 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m
If you should arrive later, please contact us in advance.

On Monday and Tuesday we will prepare the self check-in for you and inform you by booking confirmation.

Check-out: until 10.30 a.m.

Luggage

You can store your luggage in our basement free of charge if you arrive early or after check-out.

Arrival by train

Nearest Appenzeller Bahnen train station: Schwende station (stop on request: press the button on the train in good time)

The train station is a 4-minute walk from the hotel.

Free travel by public transport: For stays of three nights or more at the Alpenblick, we offer our guests free travel to and from the hotel by public transport within Switzerland. Registration is required at least 4 working days before arrival. Please let us know in advance if you would like to take advantage of this offer.

Parking

Free outdoor parking is available for our guests directly in front of the hotel.

Look forward to a daily changing surprise menu in the evening, exclusively for our hotel guests.

Times & reservation:
Advance reservation is required – at least 24 hours before arrival.

May to October: Daily, except on selected Tuesday evenings (day off)

We serve the first course from the surprise menu:
Monday (sometimes Tuesday): 6.00 p.m.
Wednesday to Sunday: between 6.00 p.m. and 6.30 p.m.

The house has a floor elevator. All our rooms have a private bathroom with shower or bathtub, WC, hairdryer, shower gel and towels, satellite TV, radio, safe, closet and closet, seating and desk.

À la carte restaurant

Our à la carte restaurant is open from Wednesday to Sunday. Our kitchen team has put together a varied selection for you. You can look forward to Alpenblick classics as well as seasonal highlights.

Wednesday to Sunday: regular opening hours

Exclusively for hotel guests also on Monday:
From May to October, our à la carte restaurant is also open on Monday evenings. Enjoy a small evening menu with ordering times from 5.30 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. (restaurant open until 9.00 p.m.).

We recommend booking your table in advance to secure your place with us.

Even on our rest days (Monday and Tuesday), we offer our hotel guests snacks and chilled drinks around the clock in the common room in the basement.

W-Lan

Unlimited, free W-LAN is available to our guests throughout the hotel.

Bicycles & E-bikes

We provide our guests with a lockable garage with charging facilities for e-bikes and bicycles free of charge.

Would you like to hire e-bikes? Please let us know the day before. We will put you in touch with a bike dealer in the region. One day’s rental is free with the vacation card.

For groups: free of charge up to 14 days before arrival

In the event of early departure, 100 % of the total accommodation costs will be charged.

Smoking is prohibited in all the hotelrooms and restaurant.
Any cooking and the use of camping stoves / gas stoves is strictly prohibited.

Cash payment in CHF and in Euro (at the current exchange rate). We accept all major credit and debit cards as well as Reka.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome in our house by prior arrangement. Dogs are not allowed in the breakfast room/dining room. Dogs are allowed in the Appenzeller Stübli and on the sun terrace.
