Do you have allergies, intolerances or a vegetarian diet? Please inform us up to two days before your arrival so that we can plan your menu optimally. A surcharge may apply in the event of increased effort.

We offer the half-board menu for children aged 7 and over.
Alternatively, our younger guests can choose from the children’s menu.
Or would you prefer to choose from our menu? Our kitchen team has put together a varied selection for you. You can look forward to Alpenblick classics such as tender fillet and entrecôte of young Appenzell beef as well as seasonal highlights that change throughout the year.
Exclusively for hotel guests also on Monday:
From May to October, our à la carte restaurant is also open on Monday evenings. Enjoy a small evening menu with ordering times from 5.30 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. (restaurant open until 9.00 p.m.).
We recommend booking your table in advance to secure your place with us.

The nearest grocery store is located in Steinegg – just a 4-minute drive or two train stops away.
The village of Appenzell offers a variety of souvenir shops, boutiques, and supermarkets – 8 minutes by car or 3 train stops away.
Smoking is prohibited in all the hotelrooms and restaurant.
Any cooking and the use of camping stoves / gas stoves is strictly prohibited.

We provide our guests with a lockable garage with charging facilities for e-bikes and bicycles free of charge.
Would you like to hire e-bikes? Please let us know the day before. We will put you in touch with a bike dealer in the region. One day’s rental is free with the vacation card.
You can store your luggage in our basement free of charge if you arrive early or after check-out.
Even on our rest days (Monday and Tuesday), snacks and chilled drinks are available to our hotel guests around the clock in the lounge: In the basement, to the right of the ladies‘ toilet – you are welcome to help yourself!
Dogs are welcome in our house by prior arrangement.
Dogs are not allowed in the breakfast room/dining room. Dogs are allowed in the Appenzeller Stübli and on the sun terrace.
We would be grateful if you would keep dogs on a lead and use the entrance from the terrace side – thank you!
With your room key you have access at any time via the back door on the terrace side.
The main entrance (parking lot side) is closed on rest days, after the restaurant closes or in the early morning hours.
Monday and Tuesday are our rest days in the restaurant.
However, the hotel naturally continues to operate. We offer the breakfast buffet daily from 8.00 – 10.00 a.m. and are happy to be there for you at this time.
On Monday and Tuesday the main entrance remains closed. Please take your room key with you. This will give you access at any time via the back door on the terrace side.

There is a post box by the buffet. You can buy postcards and stamps directly from us. The post is collected daily around 9:00 a.m.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the hotel or in the restaurant. You are welcome to smoke outside on the terrace, at the hotel entrance or on your balcony. Ashtrays are available.
A shoe and drying room is available to our hotel guests in the basement. Please do not walk on the carpet in the hotel or in the rooms with wet or dirty hiking boots.

Free travel by public transport: For stays of three nights or more at the Alpenblick, we offer our guests free travel to and from the hotel by public transport within Switzerland. Registration is required at least 4 working days before arrival.
You will find current newspapers and magazines directly at the hotel entrance in the magazine rack or at the regulars‘ table.
